DESIGN RESEARCH: Parametric Urban Coding, 2015
In November 3rd, 2015, METU MUD program opened up an exhibition involving the student projects conducted at the design studio under the title of parametric urban design. The exhibition covered more than ten projects made both in the graduate studio and the course, UD755 Parametric Urban Design given by Dr. Olgu Çalışkan, Y. Baver Barut and Gökhan Ongun. The opening of the exhibition was made via a an introductory lecture on urban coding and the student presentations on the parametric application of design control. The presentations and and the exhibition in the faculty eventually triggered a collective discussion on the subject.
