Under the theme of ‘Sustainable Urbanism’, METU MUD 2019-2020 Spring Studio made the field trip to Göreme and conducted their data collection and observation activities, just before the COVID19 outbreak. Within the four-day program, the studio group visited important places of Göreme, experienced this magical town’s everyday life, conducted surveys with the public, took notes, made several design sketches. In accordance with the design theme, the group tended to understand the peculiar condition of the settlements formed by its special contextual factors.
