At the end of the design research studies conducted at the studio under the title of ‘Recovery Urbanism: Regenerating the War-Torn Urban Fabric / Diyarbakir, Suriçi’, METU MUD has organized a panel discussion on ‘YIKIM, PLANLAMA, TASARIM’ (DESTRUCTION, PLANNING, DESIGN).
With the participation of the academics researching on the issue of war and the city, and the practitioners who had various experiences in the region encountered the severe condition of conflict in Turkey, there has been a rich discussion on the socio-political dimensions of the problematique.
At the end of the panel, the exhibition of the Diyarbakir, Suriçi Studio was opened at the Faculty of Architecture, METU.
